Death of a building: Llanrwst's Town Hall is shown (without sound) standing in 1963 and being demolished (with musical soundtrack) in 1964 at a cost of £650.
What a difference a year makes! In 1963, Llanrwst Town Hall stands as it has always stood since the 18th century. In 1964, in the spring, it is demolished to make way for modern, motorised traffic. A musical sound track accompanies shots of the building's demise, captured by Alfred Mawby (b.1918) of Llanrwst, a member of Colwyn Cine Club and later a founder member of Gwrst Cine Club.
